Happy 26th Birthday to Todd!!!! His birthday was Sunday! He has finally caught up to his wife's age--for a few months anyways!:) We went to dinner with his family and then yesterday celebrated his, John's and my Grandma's birthdays! It was nice!
Well, our lives have not seized from being crazy and busy. My master's classes are prving to be a lot more work than intended. They are not difficult, just time consuming. I have multiple papers do every two weeks. this two week segment is 21 papers....ugh! So far for assignments I have two A's and one B! As I have always been ahrd on myself with school work, this B is killing me. Oh well, I have more in life to worry about than that!:)
Taylor has officially shown us her true colors. She is very content baby and loves to smile and play. However, when she is mad, She is MAD! She has a temper like no other. Since Todd has been at home with the kids, she loves her Daddy lots! She loves to wrestle with big brother too. Not too long and she will be kickin' his butt...:) She has been crawling now for some time, she is starting to walk along things now...not too much longer before she is just a goin' machine! There will be no stopping her!
Gavin is himself. He got a new (to him) bed (from Grandma A.'s house)...it is part of bunk beds. He cannot wait to have the other one~ and it be official...He has loved the little bit of snow we got. He wants to help Mommy shovel, go sledding doen out little ditch...just play outside. Yesterday he was at my mom's for the day and she took him to a big sledding hill--he loved it!-of course. He will be four in a few weeks--it is hard to believe. I just said to Todd the other day, "next February we will be registering him for kindergarten..." Now if that doesn't put it in perspective, I don't know what will. He is getting smarter by the day though, I have no doubts he will be more than ready!
Todd is still scheduled to go to the doctor this Thursday. This is a very big appt. for us. Please be praying -we go at 1pm for x-rays-pray that there has been no shifting or anything like that with the rods and pins; 2 pm for his dr. visit. I am not sure how to pray for this appt. I want him to return to work b/c it is known and within my comfort zone. However, maybe this is God's timing for wanting him to change careers. So...Please pray that God's will be done. I guess that is all I can say!
Family: We came home from celebrating Todd's 26th birthday on Sunday to no
heat!:( Thankfully, our "furnace man" is a wonderful friend of our's. We called him thinking he could walk Todd through some problem solving steps to getting our Furnace back running. No such luck. However, he did come over and fix it for us! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Doug!:)
What a wonderful friend!
It seems like everytime we turn around, something else happens. God is keeping us on our toes!
I am sorry it has taken me so long to update. Looks like Christmas pictures will be up in time for "Christmas in July"!:) :):):):)
Oh well!
Thanks for reading anyways!

"Aunty Carolyn?"
Aunty Carolyn? you ask....Oh yes! I am finally going to be an aunt and Gavin is going to have a cousin. My sister, after a long year of infertility treaments is expecting!!!:):):):) She is dune at the end of September. We are so happy for them. Many of us have been praying in silence for them. (not wanting very many people to know the struggle in case there was not a positive turn out). God truly answers prayers. Jackie goes on Monday, Feb. 5th for an early ultrasound to make sure all is well..hear heart beats, etc. Because of the medicine she has been on they will also be checking for multiples!:) We are taking bets--Todd and I say 3...Great Grandpa H. says 1, while Great Grandma H. says twins...Mom A. says 3 too!:) We'll see! We will take whatever God gives them....as will they:)

Bishop Madness
Craziness! Madness! These words describe our lives in a nut shell the last few weeks! Hence the reason there has been NOTHING done on here! Taylor got the flu on New Year's Eve night. While we were playing games and having fun with friends, Mom and Dad B. had the kids-one puking! :(-Sorry! At 12:05 AM Todd went to meet his parents to bring Taylor home. She continued to be weak the next day, then the diarrhea began-that lasted a week! She became dehydrated and we found ourselves in the ER last Friday night to get her an IV to be rehydrated. I think God made Mommies to be able to handle this stuff better than Daddies. Daddy thought it was all very unneccessary and became very upset with the ER nurses and Dr. (I will agree they poked and dug around a lot on her little arms and feet).
We got home about 12 AM. Saturday came and family time to be spent -all four of us! Oh! Taylor's eyes are gooping up! What is this about? Pink Eye? Are ya kiddin me?!
Nope! Sunday morning spent in Urgent care to get drops for Baby Taylor's eyes! Ugh!
Drops didn't work by Wednesday. Dr. says to stop drops-eyes are getting better-oh well, back to my famous phrase-"life is life".
we all went through the "bug" except for Gavin. We have been taking the stuff called "Airborne" if you have not tried it yet. I highly reccommend it. Gavin never got the flu (knowck on wood), we just kept giving the Airborne to him. (it dissolves like alksetzer tablets).
Other News:
My mom will be 50 this next Monday (15th)! It is hard to say that! Probably more for her than me. It just seems old for my mom. I guess maybe she doesn't look it or act it. I don't know.
Todd will be 26 at the end of this month (caught up to his wife for a few months):)
He goes to the Dr. feb. 1st. (if not before-we are still trying to get in sooner). He is waiting for Dr.'s words to see if he has to change jobs or not. this has been especially hard for me. The Lord is trying my patience and contentment, I think!-daily sometimes more often than that.
He has been watching both the kids though and seems to be doing okay with it. Other than just going stir crazy!-He is officially a "Stay at home Dad"!:):):):)-don't tell him I said that:)
Christmas seems like ages ago and I don't even have a picture of the kids with Santa up yet.
Our family Christmas was wonderful this year! We had many surprises from "Santa" this year for the kids! More about Christmas later though-with pictures I promise!
We were able to go up north for a couple of days while I was on break! It was nice, but way too short. I feel like I was just getting into my break and had to go back. I do have next Monday off which will be nice!
More to come later-I started my Master's classes-lots more work than I thought. Six papers due by Tuesday! Yikes!:(
